Microwave ovens are kitchen appliances that use microwave radiation to cook, heat, or defrost food quickly and efficiently. These work by emitting microwaves, which are a form of electromagnetic radiation, into the interior of the oven. These microwaves are absorbed by the water, fats, and sugars present in food, causing them to vibrate rapidly, which generates heat. This heat cooks or heats the food evenly and rapidly, making microwave ovens a convenient and time-saving cooking appliance.
